SVETLANA KALINICHENKO

Born in Novomoskovsk (Ukraine).
She graduated cum laude from the School of Music in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine), where studied
vocal, choral conducting and piano.
Then, Svetlana was graduated from the National Music Academy of Tchaikovsky in Kiev (class
prof. Eugenia Miroshnichenko) and she invited to workshop of perfecting vocal arts in
"Conservatorio DI MUSICA BENEDETTO MARCELLO" in Italy. In class prof. Stefano Gibellato,
which is linked to permanent cooperation with a renowned Opera House "Teatro la Fenice"
(Venice, Italy), BREGENZERFESTSPIEL, SALZBURGER FESTSPIEL.
Also, she participated as an active participant in Master Course of Helena Lazarska (Vienna).
In Poland, debuted in Wroclaw Opera at the premiere opera production "Paradise Lost" by
Krzysztof Penderecki. Created the leading role of Eve. (May, 2008)
Svetlana Kalinichenko’s operatic repertoire includes numerous title roles: Pamina ("The Magic
Flute" by W. A Mozart), Konstanza ("Abduction from Seraglio" by W.A. Mozart), Gilda
("Rigoletto" by G. Verdi), Lucia ("Lucia di Lammermoor" by G. Donizetti), Maria ("Maria
Stuarda" by G. Donizetti), Rosina ("Barber of Seville" by G. Rossini), Musetta ("Bohème" by G.
Puccini), Michaela ("Carmen" by G.Bizet), Hanna (“Haunted Manor" by St. Moniuszko) and
other…
She is winner of many International competitions, incl: International Competition for young singers
in Greece (Rhodes), International Competition for young singers of A.Solovjanienko "Solovjiny
jarmarok" (Ukraine, also received the Award of International Competition of young singers
"RIJEKABELCANTO" (Croatia) and Grand Prix the State Competition of Young Pianists
(Ukraine)
Svetlana Kalinichenko constantly gives concerts in Poland, Italy and abroad.
Cooperating with Centro Musicale Tampa Lirica (Piacenza, Italy). In Poland with Silesian
Philharmonic Hall in Katowice, Philharmonic Orchestra Sinfonia Baltica in Slupsk, Warmian-
Masurian Philharmonic Orchestra and Concert Hall in Olsztyn, Gliwice Musical Theatre, "The
Katowice City Singers - Camerata Silesia" and Institution for the Promotion and Popularisation of
Music "Silesia", Orchestra of Telemann.
She participated in the many Festivals in the Poland and

Svetlana Kalinichenko has participated in the recording of
double-album "Silesian Opera recommends - Bestsellers of
opera and operetta ". Album was certified GOLD.
She recorded Duet of Violetta and Germont from 2 act of
the opera "La Traviata" of G. Verdi. Baritone parts of
Germont interpreted Andriy Shkurhan.
Also, with the participation of Svetlana has been recorded "Scena pouring of wax and Duet of
Hanna and Jadwiga "Already fire burns .." from the opera "The Haunted Manor" of S. Moniuszko.
Additionally, Svetlana has collaborated with such renowned conductor, incl: Carlo Rizzi, Fabrizio
Cassi, Stephen Ellery, Gareth Jones, Lothar Koenigs, Frank Strobel, Hartmut Haenschen, Tadeusz
Serafin, Christopher Dziewięcki, Andrzej Knap, Agnieszka Kreiner, Jacek Kraszewski, Warcisław
Kunc, Andrew Straszynski, Janusz Siadlak, Krzysztof Penderecki, Łukasz Borowicz, Mirosław
Jacek Błaszczyk, Sławomir Chrzanowski, Warcisław Kunc.
Since the artistic season 2008 - 2009 has been a soloist of Silesian Opera House in Bytom.
