Roman Korentsvit (Roman Coren)
Ukrainian lyric-dramatic tenor. Leading soloist of Lviv National Opera.
Graduated from the Odessa National Music Academy.
In 2008 he won the Città di Pesaro International Opera Singers Competition (Italy).
Being a student, he made his debut on the opera stage in Odessa at the operas of Mozart "Theater Director", B. Britten's "The Little Sweep," and in Alfred's part of “Traviata” by Verdi. He also performed the Duke's part at the “Rigoletto” in Dnepropetrovsk and part of Pinkerton at the “Madam Butterfly” Theater in Kharkiv opera theatre.
With great success, was a concert tour in Washington that took place in February 2010.
From 2010 to 2012 –many leading tenor parties were performed repeatedly by him (Radames “Aida”, Jose “Carmen”, Manrico “Trovatore”, Cavaradossi “Tosca”, Herman “The Queen of Spades”, Pinkerton “Madam Butterfly ", The Pretender and Jurodivy “Boris Godunov", Lensky "Eugene Onegin ") in the opera houses of St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, Astrakhan, Saratov, Nyzhniy Novgorod. Three times in a row, he performed the party of Herman in Tchaikovsky's opera "The Queen of Spades" on the stage of the Ekaterinburg Opera House and he made a successful performance of the Radames part on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater.
At the end of 2012, he returned to Lviv National Opera.
Roman has toured with concert programs in Germany, Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Denmark, Cyprus, Tunisia, Morocco, Mexico, Panama, USA.
For three years in a row (2014, 2015 and 2016) he had great success in touring the Lviv Theater at the Opera Festival in Wiltz (Luxembourg) in the parties of Radames, Cavaradosi and Duke.
In March 2019, he became the first performer of the independent Ukraine of Lohengrin part in the international production of Richard Wagner's opera “Lohengrin” as a part of the “Ukrainian Breakthrough” project.
