ANNA SHUMARINA

Lyrical soprano. Graduate of the Mykola Lysenko National Musical Academy of Lviv, prize holder of all-Ukrainian and international competitions, Master of Music.

Education:

● 1999 - 2005 - studied at the Skadovsk music school No. 1 majoring in piano. 

● 2005 – 2008 - studied at the piano department of the Kherson Regional Music School (S. Frolova’s piano class). At the same time, was engaged in academic singing (optional course).

● 2008 – 2013 – studied at the Mykola Lysenko National Musical Academy of Lviv: solo singing class taught by the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Professor Anna Yuriivna Dashak (2008 - 2010); solo and chamber singing class taught by Assistant Professor Myroslava Andriivna Zhyshkovich, art history PhD (2010 - 2013).

● 2012 – 2013 - did a Master's degree at the Lviv Music Academy, gaining a qualification of a "master of music," "opera and concert singer," "teacher."

Since 2012, was invited to work at the Lviv State College of Culture and Arts for the position of a singing teacher and still works there. 

Contest participation.

  • 2005 and 2008 – prize holder of the III prize of the Oksana Petrusenko International Singing Competition.

  • 2011 - prize holder of the III prize of the «XXI Century Art» International Competition (Kyiv - Vorzel).

  • 2012 – I prize winner of the singing contest timed to the 170th anniversary of Mykola Vitaliovych Lysenko (Lviv). 

Creative activities. 

  • 2008 – artist of the "Gloria" chamber choir (S.Lyudkevych Lviv Regional Philharmonic, artistic director and conductor V.Syvohip);

  • Soloist of the "Homin" Lviv Municipal Choir (artistic director and conductor R. Lyashenko);

  • 2011 – 2012 – as part of the chorus of the S. Krushelnytska Lviv National Theater of Opera and Ballet, performed in different cities of France and Belgium, performing the stage cantata by C. Orff "Carmina Burana" under the guidance of the French conductor of Ukrainian origin Hryhorii Penteleichuk.

  • 2012, under the battuta of the chief conductor of the opera studio of the Y. Bervetskii Lviv Music Academy, performed as Pannochka in the "Nocturne" opera-minute by M. Lysenko at the International Festival of Opera Studios in Bydgoszcz (Poland).

  • Since 2012, she is working closely with an Italian bandmaster and composer Ferdinando Nazzaro, in particular, under his guidance and accompanied by the Galician Academic Chamber Choir and the Lviv Philharmonic orchestra, in the same year she performed a solo part in the "Coronation Mass" for the soloists, chorus and orchestra KV 317 C-dur by W. A. Mozart; several stock recordings were made from his works, including the "Deposizione di Cristo" cantata for soprano, choir and orchestra, in which the singer performed a solo part;

  • in 2014, she takes part in a concert that took place in the city of Krosno (Poland), where, under the guidance of a French conductor Serge Paloyan and accompanied by the S. Krushelnytska Lviv Opera Theater orchestra, she performed the aria of Juliet from the "Romeo and Juliet" opera by C. Gounod, "Barcarol" by J. Offenbach from the "Tales of Hoffmann" opera;

  • in 2015, under the direction of a conductor Ilya Stupel, accompanied by the Lviv Philharmonic orchestra, a concert took place in Lviv with great success, where Anna performed many solo arias and duets from the operas of W. A. Mozart, G. Verdi, G. Bizet, A. Catalani, F. Lehar;

  • in 2015, accompanied by the K&K Philharmoniker Orchestra, under the guidance of the Austrian conductor and composer Mattias Georg Kendlinger in Berlin (Germany) and Lucerne (Switzerland), she skillfully and masterfully performed a soprano solo part in the "Carmina Burana" stage cantata by C. Orff;

  • in January 2017, under the battuta of maestro Schmidt-Gertenbach, accompanied by the Lviv Philharmonic symphony orchestra, there were concerts held with great success in the cities of Germany, where Anna Shumarina brilliantly and with unique originality performed several opera arias (Mimi's aria from the "La Boheme" opera and Lauretta's aria from the "Gianni Schicchi" opera by G. Puccini, Mikaela's aria from the "Carmen" opera by G. Bizet), receiving high praise from the German press;

  • in the same 2017, the singer took part in the concert program composed from works of P. Tchaikovsky in Syanok (Poland), performing solo and ensemble masterpieces of opera music by the Russian composer (Romeo and Juliet duet from the opera of the same name, Undinea and Hildebrand duet from the "Undine" opera, the letter scene and Tatiana's aria from the "Eugene Onegin" opera, the duet of Iolanta and Vaudemont from the "Iolanta" opera) under the direction of the conductor Y. Bervetskyi;

  • in December 2017, in cooperation with Mattias Georg Kendlinger and the K&K Philharmoniker Orchestra, the concert performances of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute in Lviv, Cologne and Berilini were held brilliantly and Anna Shumarina appeared in the image of Pamina, performing in a lyrical and soulful manner, impressing the listeners with ease in overcoming complex technical tasks and the timbre colorfulness of her voice.

  • December 2017 - solo in the oratorio "Messiah" under the guidance of V. Syvohip, accompanied by the Lviv Philharmonic orchestra.

  • Since December 2017, is a soloist of the music project - Exclusive Opera Project

  • February 2018 - debut at the Krushelnytska Lviv Opera Theater in the "Love Potion" opera by Donizetti (Adina's part).
